Google has decided to shake up the way it typically announces its devices. Rather than an event filled with pomp and circumstance, the company posted a Twitter thread (and blog post) teasing the upcoming Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro phones.
One of the main things that could make or break the Google Pixel 6 series of phones is the chip. The company announced in a blog post that the phones would be the first to feature Google’s Tensor, the company’s custom-built SoC specifically for Pixel phones. This is a huge departure from using third-party chipsets, as the company did with previous devices.
